Alvarez, the author of a bill providing for the death penalty in cases of heinous crimes urged the Catholics not to be scared if they were going to be rejected by religious leaders for supporting the Duterte administration.
Alvarez also advised the Catholic church to focus on helping the people who need their help and stay out of politics. “Gawin nila yung trabaho nila bilang nagpre-preach sila ng faith,” Alvarez said.
Bakit hindi nila pagtuunang n pansin iyon?,” he added.
